Nice people—Not greatest facilities
I hope they reflect on this last baseball tourney and make some necessary changes. We paid $5 each day to watch our kids play in a dust bowl that they wouldn’t wet down until the championship game. Umps leaned against the fence on 1st base side to make calls at 2nd/3rd base. An EIGHT YEAR OLD was EJECTED from the game for using an illegal bat, which was an honest mistake by the team. Funny how the opposing team didn’t recognize the mistake until they tied them because the kid ejected had already batted once. The LL rules clearly state options the ump has if that were to happen, along with a clause that states, ‘Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should a player be ejected from a game’! for this age group. Another age group were waiting on umps to start their game. Rules were questioned...Nice people, but if you’re going to hold a tourney with that many teams, know the rules of the game and keep our players safe by setting down the fields.

Why charge to get in?
Only baseball/softball tournament we play in that charges the public to watch. For the massive amount they make you'd think the facility would be top notch. Very greedy program!!! I wish more leagues would boycott the Petersburg tourney!!!
